Chick-fil-A set to reintroduce Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich: Release date, availability, and more to know

American fast-food giant Chick-fil-A has good news. On January 2, 2025, the company announced it would add two items to its menu. The first one is the return of the Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich, while the second addition is the line of lime seasonal beverages.

The two items will be available from January 7, 2025, across the participating locations for a limited time. First introduced in 2021, the Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich received positive responses from customers. Allison Duncan, an official at Chick-fil-A, said in a press release:

“Winter is a great time to bring back the Grilled Spicy Deluxe, a sandwich that packs the flavor in every layer, while bringing the spice our Guests crave at this time of year.”

The sandwich gets its spicy flavor from the blend of peppers, which goes into marinating the tender, grilled chicken breast. A toasted multigrain brioche bun is used for the sandwich, layered with Colby-Jack cheese, lettuce, and tomato. The sandwich is complemented with the creamy Cilantro Lime Sauce.

Duncan mentioned that the sandwich was an ideal match for the new Key Lime beverages, which provide a refreshing and creamy balance while adding a vibrant touch to the menu for the winter season.

Customers can check the availability of the item via the Chick-fil-A online app or the nearest restaurant. Besides the sandwich, the Key Lime beverage collection has been a favorite since it was first launched as a limited-time option in 2019. However, the lineup has two drinks now.

First is the Key Lime Frosted Lemonade, a sweet, refreshing blend of the food joint’s Lemonade and signature Icedream® dessert. The second one is the Key Lime Lemonade, also the classic Lemonade paired with a natural Key Lime flavor for a tangy experience.

In 2021, YouTube channel theendorsement shared a detailed review of Chick-fil-A’s Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich. At that time, it was priced at less than $6 and came with a Cilantro Lime Sauce made specifically for the sandwich. The YouTuber liked the spice level after the very first bite. He said:

“That spice is up there. That’s like a three, three and a half, maybe like a close to even a four right off the bat and I am loving that sauce. That Cilantro Lime Sauce, I would think would cool this down a little bit no no no, this spice is definitely here to stay.”

He added that spice gave a nice flavor profile to the sandwich. He also complimented the chicken, saying,

“It’s just something about the grilled chicken over at Chick-fil-A if you are spending $6. It is a thin piece of chicken, it’s quality chicken, it’s juicy. We have some juices dripping into the bottom of the container right there. So, everything going on here is quality, deluxe quality.”

While staying fixated on the spice, the YouTuber said it was almost equal to a black pepper-level spice but also with some traces of chili pepper. He added that it had a nice spice flavor, a taste that would not burn one’s face off.
