The BK Melts sandwich, Burger King’s melty hand-held toasted treat, is making another appearance on the food chain’s menu. The cheesy sandwiches were introduced in 2022 and quickly amassed a cult following.

They were brought back albeit briefly in 2023 for the holidays and are now expected to hit food trays on December 19, 2024, just in time for Christmas 2024.

A popular food update account on Instagram @snackolator shared the news with the caption:

“Burger King was looking at our Christmas list and is bringing back five favorites back on December 19th! You’ll be able to get BK Melts again in three varieties: Bacon Melt, Shroom n’ Swiss, and Classic Melt,”

Burger King has loaded the holiday season with goodies for foodies, kicking off with its inaugural Holiday Advent Calendar filled with BK-themed swag worth over $100, selling for just $19.54. The return of the Melts sandwich is another cherry on the cake!

According to reports from TODAY.com published on December 12, 2024, the fast food giants have confirmed that the tasty treats might only be available for a limited period.

The BK Melts sandwich will be available in three varieties—the original two flavors of 2022, Bacon Melt and Classic Melt, and the special edition release of last year, the Shroom n’ Swiss Melt. Lovers of bacon can try out the Bacon BK Melt which consists of two flame-grilled Whopper Jr. patties, American cheese, bacon, caramelized onion, and stacker sauce drizzled on top.

Fans of the Shroom n’ Swiss will enjoy two whopper patties complemented with Swiss cheese, roasted mushrooms, and Royal Sauce. And for those who prefer the classic variant, they can expect the Whopper Jr. patties, caramelized onions, American cheese, and Stacker Sauce. The sandwiches will be available nationwide for $4.99 each.

Another good news is that the BK Melts are dropping alongside the beloved Churro Fries. These cinnamon-infused fries made their debut during Halloween 2024 as part of Burger King’s Addams Family menu.

The treats were named Churro fries to pay homage to the spooky family. The Churro fries—dessert fries made from crispy fried dough, sprinkled with cinnamon sugar, will also be dropping on December 19. Burger King will be serving them in 4, 8, and 12-piece packs. Get your coins ready and eat to your heart’s content.
