Beats unveils new Powerbeats Pro 2: Where to get, price, and more details explored

Electronics company Beats has announced the launch of Powerbeats Pro 2. On February 11, 2025, the brand shared the photos and description of the product on Instagram. It comes with a 45-hour battery life and a compact case powered by Apple's H2 chip. The Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 can be ordered from the company’s official website and apple.com for @249.99.

According to Hypebeast, this wireless ear device has been upgraded in design and performance and has in-ear heart rate monitoring. This feature provides real-time performance data using LED optical sensors, similar to the Apple Watch, that track blood flow by pulsing over 100 times per second.

The heart rate monitors in these earbuds are much smaller than those in the Apple Watch but deliver the same level of accuracy. Each earbud has its sensor, but for the best results, both need to be worn simultaneously.

Beats’ Instagram post mentions that the Powerbeats Pro 2 is the right device for athletes due to its unique features. It is designed for a secure fit, ensuring they stay in place during workouts. The earbuds feature active noise cancellation for immersive sound and a transparency mode for awareness of surroundings.

The adaptive EQ adjusts audio to match the fit of each earbud, while the wireless charging case keeps them powered, and their sweat and water resistance make them durable for intense training in any weather.

As seen in a video posted by the company, the Powerbeats Pro 2 went through 1500 hours of rigorous testing. The narrator explained its design features as follows:

Reviewers find Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 to be a good companion for workout

Another interesting feature of the Powerbeats Pro 2 is that it is compatible with Apple and Android. YouTuber Marques Brownlee shared a review of the earphones on February 11, 2025. His favorite part of the product is how each earbud stays in the ear. Concerning the noise cancellation part, he said:

“It’s sampling the outside world 200 times per second and does a really good job cancelling white noise, the sort of basic steady stay stuff. I think some stuff like keyboard typing and basic dialogue and other random sounds still get through, but once you have music playing, basically everything that’s not the music fades completely away, which is the goal.”
