The silhouette was previously teased in October 2024 by retail sites like StockX and FootLocker. The New Balance 9060 Bone Sparrow has a thick leather design and blends function with fashion, channeling retro charm while keeping the feet warm and comfy in the cold season.

The Boston-based shoe brand describes the 9060 silhouette as follows:

"The 9060 is a new expression of the refined style and innovation-led design that have made the 99X series home to some of the most iconic models in New Balance history. The 9060 reinterprets familiar elements sourced from classic 99X models with a warped sensibility inspired by the proudly futuristic, visible tech aesthetic of the Y2K era,"

It continues:

"Sway bars, taken from the 990, are expanded and utilized throughout the entire upper for a sense of visible motion, while wavy lines and scaled-up proportions on a sculpted pod midsole place an exaggerated emphasis on the familiar cushioning platforms of ABZORB and SBS."

The fresh New Balance 9060 Bone Sparrow colorway resembles the Shadow Grey and other winter releases. The Bone Sparrow is dressed in different shades of beige and features an artful mix of mesh and suede on the upper area.

The shoes feature the brand’s signature ABZORB midsole and the SBS cushioning. The paneled design and chunky build make it appealing as a fine blend of sports and street fashion.

The brand details include an embroidered logo on the rear, an applique logo, and a logo patch on the tongue—a nod to the original 991 lace jewel.

The rubber outsole, designed in a diamond pattern, features an earthy/colored unit at the back, which matches the N logo on the sides and the tongue patch.

A peek inside the sneakers brings you in contact with the bold NB logo embossed in white and surrounded by clay brown color details. The sneakers are currently selling below retail price on StockX for $118.
