Spotify has added a new artist sticker collection for users' playlists in February 2025. The music streaming service announced the newest collaboration with Tyler, the Creator. The collaboration comes in light of Spotify's Create Your Cover Art initiative, which allows its users to customize their playlist's cover.
Launched in October 2024, the unique feature allows its users' playlists to, "look as good as they sound." Netizens had mixed reactions to the newest artist collaboration with Tyler, the Creator which features 10 new stickers.
Users took to Pop Crave's post about Tyler, The Creator's collection stickers. One user (@blondedvd) appeared to be nonchalant about the new release and noted,
"but nobody wanted this."
Another user (@eternalylex) revealed her disappointment and wrote,
"We wanted to change album covers not this."
Many others expressed excitement about the new collaboration. One user (@ladidaix) congratulated the artist for being the first one to be on the collection. They noted,
"This is so interesting. Shout out to Tyler being the first."
One user (@Captluffy_) wrote,
"Whoa, hooking up with tyler, the Creator for stickers is awesome, love that they're using his album art."
Although the feature is available in 65 countries, a few users expressed disappointment at it being unavailable worldwide. One user (@HeyItsJustAaron) commented,
"If you are going to announce new stuff for a feature at least make the feature available worldwide."
Spotify launches artist sticker collaboration with Tyler, the Creator
Spotify announced the launch of 10 limited-edition stickers in collaboration with Tyler, the Creator. The streaming giant took to its socials to announce the launch which is inspired by Tyler's aesthetic and his studio album, Chromakopia.
Owing to Tyler's popularity on the streaming app (with approximately 50 million listeners every month!), the collaboration doesn't come as a surprise. Spotify posted pictures of the stickers, including a Call Me If You Get Lost driver's license, shipping container, mask that is featured on Chromakopia's album cover, Tyler's luggage, and more.
While many users expressed excitement for the new feature and collaboration with Tyler, for many the feature didn't work in a respective country. A few customers noted that it didn't work even with a premium subscription.
Spotify's exclusive feature, Custom Cover Art allows users to modify their favorite or go-to playlists with creative stickers. The streaming giant's collaboration with Tyler, the Creator has a mixed reception. Although, users can also opt for other stickers, including the limited-edition ones for Valentine's Day.
