Lack Of Guidance is a football-inspired fashion label based in Amsterdam. Its collaboration with ASICS marks the first-ever sneaker that the former will release. The sneakers reimagine the traditional football sneakers and seek inspiration from Kawaguchi's jersey.

While the red-orange and black tones meet each other in interesting ways, the ASICS logo stands out with a silver outline. The upper features a breathable mesh and the sneaker has three different systems to add structure and cushioning.

According to ASICS, the TRUSSTIC technology enhances the stability of the sneaker while the DIVISION SPACE technology reduces the overall weight. Additionally, the sneaker utilizes natural materials, like biomass content from sugarcane that makes the underfoot more comfortable. ASICS describes this as the FF BLAST PLUS ECO technology that adds to the cushioning. The brands took to Instagram to share a trailer video of the sneakers and captioned it,

"Playing football may ruin these shoes."

Lack of Guidance also took to their Instagram story on January 29 to make a special announcement. The brand noted that the proceeds from the purchase of ASICS Gel-Quantum 360 VIII will support Football Beyond Borders. The brand emphasized that "all proceeds will be donated" to help

"disengaged young people stay in school and develop the social, emotional, and academic skills needed for a successful transition into their adulthood."

Just one day to go before the launch of ASICS Gel-Quantum 360 VIII sneakers. The sneakers appear to be a tribute to football fashion from the 90s, featuring modern shoe technology. The ASICS Gel-Quantum 360 VIII sneakers will be available worldwide for sale on select retailers starting February 7, 2025.
