Following the release of several interesting variants for Ja Morant’s signature Nike Ja 2 model, the Swoosh label has now dressed the shoe in a mismatched colorful ensemble for the upcoming “Kool-Aid” colorway. This potential iteration will offer a design inspired by one of Ja Morant’s alleged favorite drinks, Kool-Aid.
The first-hand look at the pair was offered by an insider, @yyt_snkrs, via Instagram. These vibrant shoe designs will be clad in a Bright Crimson/Flat Silver-Hyper Pink-Black-Photo Blue palette.
The newly emerged Kool Kid x Nike Ja 2 footwear designs are expected to hit the stores in May 2025, as per initial reports. These themed basketball shoes will be marked with a retail price tag of $130. They will supposedly be sold via the online and physical locations of Nike Basketball and its connected sellers.

Kool-Aid x Nike Ja 2 sneakers are offered in mismatched arrangements
To create the latest “Kool-Aid” rendition of Ja Morant’s basketball shoe, the Swoosh’s design team seemingly picked two different flavors of the eponymous beverage for decorating both the left and right shoe.
This Nike Ja 2 silhouette exhibits a contrasting arrangement, adopting a gradient color scheme on both the left and right shoe. The left side displays hues evocative of Kool-Aid's “blueberry” flavor. Starting with blue at the tip of the foot, the color progresses to a deep black towards the collar and heel area.
The right shoe, on the other hand, features a classic “cherry” red at the front, which transitions to orange around the heel section.
The colors clearly suggest the flavors, while the tongue flaps directly reference the beverage, including the Kool-Aid Man bursting through a wall in his iconic red form. Kool-Aid character’s catchphrase, “Ohhh Yeah!” is also placed under the tongue flaps.
Splatter paint embellishments adorn both the lateral and medial sections of the sneaker. The midfoot area showcases a knit texture and incorporates black Swoosh accents.
To offer the touch of a cool drink, condensation droplets are also present on the quilted heel counter. These heels are emblazoned with the player’s “12 AM” inscription in the Kool-Aid typeface.
Rounding out the shoe is an entirely white foam midsole featuring splatter accents. These midsoles are then combined with a glow-in-the-dark outsole.
