Adidas is celebrating the Chinese New Year with an upcoming collection of jackets, polos, and other sportswear. Although the Three Stripes brand hasn’t disclosed information about the capsule collection, word on the streets is that it will drop this month in Asia, with a possible worldwide release later.

A closer look at the upcoming Adidas Chinese New Year collection

The upcoming Chinese New Year collection from Adidas Originals is a blend of knitted wear and cotton in different color schemes. One knitted design features a predominantly blue colorway accented by white and red on the arms and the Adidas Trefoil logo for branding.

Another design sees a muted color scheme of Shorewood brown with streaks of white and black on the front and arms. A velvet jacket is also included in dark blue with white accents. Adidas Originals is printed in large font at the back.

Meanwhile, Adidas Originals and Edison Chen released a collaborative drop to pay homage to the Chinese Year of the Snake. The Adidas Originals x Edison Chen collection launched globally on January 16, 2025, features the CLOT x Adidas Superstar in a black and golden color-blocking scheme.

The Superstar silhouette is dressed in a Jacquard print and a snakeskin pattern. To round up the design, the shoes come with a bright red tassel attached to a gold coin. This is said to symbolize prosperity and wealth.

An apparel collection was released alongside the superstar and consisted of the sports jacket, print all-over pants, Raglan L/S Tee by Edison Chen, and a pair of socks. The price of the collection’s pieces ranged from $25 for a pair of socks to $140 for a sports jacket.
