As most people are aware, Jordan Brand is commemorating the 40th anniversary of the initial Air Jordan's 1985 debut, and this year will feature a number of releases. The original Jordan Spizike is one of these releases, albeit in a more subdued version.
The low-top silhouette will be using color blocking for the first time. The color scheme of this sneaker is Black, Classic Green, Varsity Red, and White.
The sneakers, which blended features from the previous Air Jordans, were introduced earlier as a mid-top. The new Jordan Spizike sneakers would be low-top.
As you can see, the mudguard is made of patent leather, and the upper is made of black nubuck.
Release date, where to buy, price
In the summer of 2025, a few Jordan Brand stores and Nike.com will carry the Jordan Spizike Low "OG." The sneaker is retailed at the price of $160. It provides a new interpretation of the silhouette, which was first released in 2017 as a mid-top.
Sneaker design
Last seen in 2017, the mid-top Spizike returns in its original black, red, and green duds.
That release stayed true to the OG, featuring a black nubuck upper with glossy patent leather accents, vibrant red and green hits, and patterned liners. The design was rounded out by a clean white outsole, a nod to Jordan Brand’s signature aesthetic.
In 2025, the Spizike Low will preserve all the details of the original, including its bold colorway and premium materials, while offering a lower ankle cut for a more modern and versatile fit.
The hybrid model, which blends elements from Air Jordan silhouettes, remains a testament to the brand’s innovative spirit and enduring legacy.
Brief history of the Spizike
The hybrid model was introduced in 2006, and many Jordan enthusiasts at the time dubbed it the "Retro Frankenstein."
The Spizike combined aspects of the previous versions of Air Jordans—the five versions worn by the fictitious character Mars Blackmon—with elements of Michael Jordan and Spike Lee.
Air Jordan 4 RM: New colorway announced
In other news, Nike has announced that the Air Jordan 4 RM "Gorge Green" sneakers will be available in the spring of 2025. The AJ4 branch has a full runway to live up to the name before it gets a sibling, but the Air Jordan 4 RM is anticipated to join the "RestoMod" movement.
A few distinct colorways of the Air Jordan 4 RM have been released in the second half of 2024. While certain styles are unquestionably anchored in tradition, others have given the brand a fresh lease on life.
The Jordan Spizike Low "OG" is a must-have for sneakerheads since it blends traditional design components with contemporary appeal.
Later this summer, the Jordan Spizike Low OG should be available for purchase.
