The LA Clippers player announced the James Harden x adidas Harden Vol 9 SS25 release dates on Instagram on December 19. Releasing on December 26, 2024, it comes in 6 colorways and can be bought via the official adidas website.

On December 19, James Harden uploaded a new Instagram post along with the adidas basketball official page, revealing all the colorways in the James Harden x adidas Harden Vol 9 SS25.
The caption of the post said,

The caption reflects James Harden's bold, unique style and unapologetic personality. Before the official announcement, the basketball player had also uploaded multiple Instagram posts, subtly letting his fans know about the ongoing collaboration. In the promotional posts, he was seen wearing the Vol 9 in Cyber Metallic color.

- Year Of The Snake: In black and purple, releasing on December 26, 2024 (China exclusive).
- Cyber Metallic: In silver and black, releasing on January 25, 2025.
- Pearlized: In white and black, releasing on February 22, 2025.
- Metamorphosis: In green and black, releasing on March 15, 2025.
- Hell Cat: In red and black, releasing on April 5, 2025.
- Ice Metallic: In blue and silver, releasing on May 10, 2025.

The Year Of The Snake is inspired by the Chinese zodiac, with purple and black showing mystery. The Cyber Metallic gives a tech vibe. The pearlized has clean and white tones signifying pearls.
