Jaden Smith is once again teaming up with New Balance to launch their new sneakers, MSFTSrep x New Balance 0.01. This follows their successful 2020 collaboration on the Vision Racer, which is made with bold designs and recycled materials, showing Jaden's commitment to sustainability.
Now, Jaden’s fashion brand MSFTSrep and New Balance are launching this fresh pair of sneakers, which will be available on the New Balance website starting November 15 for $109.99 each.
Jaden Smith x New Balance Collaborative Collection will be available in two colors
On 11th November, Jaden Smith uploaded a new video on Instagram, giving fans a look at his recent sneakers in collaboration with New Balance. The MSFTSrep x New Balance 0.01 sneakers will be available in two colors, Baltic Sea with Lichen Blue and Linen with Bone.
The sneakers combine a classic style with a bold and modern design, giving a minimalistic look. The design is inspired by the Fibonacci sequence and sacred geometry, which are all about balance and proportion. It features a simple court-style upper paired with a big, chunky sole. With an MSFTSrep medial logo along with custom insoles, it comes in special packaging.
The Baltic Sea with Lichen Blue sneakers are made of a synthetic upper, a mesh tongue, and cotton laces, and the Linen with Bone is made of a cotton textile upper, cotton laces, and synthetic leather color.
Jaden Smith shared the inspiration behind the collaboration on the New Balance site, saying
“These shoes are inspired by nature, specifically the beach. Sand on the ground and clouds in the sky— the meeting of worlds. The textures of the shoes are inspired by renaissance paintings of the 1700s in Florence. This collaboration is about imagination and dreams being the catalyst for change in the world.” -Jaden (New Balance)
The blue version from the "Up In the Clouds" pack has a soft light blue color with brushstroke-like textures, giving it a sky-like feel, similar to Renaissance paintings. The Linen With Bone colorway shows a cotton textile upper resembling a painter’s canvas, with creamy earth tones that resemble beach sand. New Balance has also clearly stated that the item is limited to 1 per order, making it an exclusive product.
