Jack in the Box is debuting a new Big Smashed Jack Burger starting February 13, 2025. The new burger will be available in a limited-edition Big Smashed Jack Combo, per All Recipes. The Big Smashed Jack is inspired by its forerunner, Smashed Jack, which debuted in January 2024.
As the name suggests, the Big Smashed Jack is doubling the ingredients and size of the classic Smash burger. The burger is reminiscent of the Big Mac and will be available in participating stores for a limited time. In addition to the new burger, the burger and taco brand is set to launch two styles of loaded fries: classic and spicy.

The new Big Smashed Jack Burger features layers of brioche buns, BOSS sauce, pickles, onions, shredded lettuce, and smashed patties. From a cross-section view, customers will see two burgers stacked on top of one another, akin to McDonald's Big Mac. The Big Smashed Jack Combo comes with a small beverage and fries.
Additionally, customers will be able to customize their loaded fries in two styles:
- Classic: Doused with nacho and Cheddar cheese sauces, topped with bacon bits and buttermilk drizzle.
- Spicy: The classic sauce is replaced with a spicy Good Good sauce and loaded with crumbled bacon, and jalapenos for an additional kick.
Keaton Larson, writer at All Recipes was invited to Jack in the Box's headquarters to taste the new burger. He noted that the patties have been improved from the classic ones. He added that since "there is a lot of bread," it may not be for everyone's liking.
Customers who have previously tasted the Smashed Jack or Bacon Double Smashed back that although the patties are fresh and juicy, they aren't typically smashed. Some added that it tasted like a regular burger with few modifications. Customers can also purchase the limited-edition Jack Wraps available in restaurants through February 16, 2025.
