There are 8 to 10 slices in a large Domino's pizza, although that will vary depending on the crust, with the largest going up to 16 slices in the Extra Large New York style.

Domino's was founded in 1960 when two brothers, Tom and Jim Monaghan, took over the operations of an established pizza firm. Things only got worse from there as the business expanded swiftly; by 1978, Domino's had over 200 outlets across the United States. By 1983, the firm had begun expanding overseas, opening a store in Canada just before launching its 1000th location in Washington. As of 2025, the fast-food franchise has over 15,000 outlets worldwide, as the brand evolves and grows.

Thus, the hand-tossed pizza has 8 to 10 slices for the large pizza, the Crunchy Thin has 16 squares, the New York Style has 6 slices and the Extra Large New York Style has 16. About Domino’s

Domino's was founded in 1960 when Tom Monaghan and his brother, Jim, purchased a small pizza parlor in Michigan, but Joe soon quit the company and traded his share to his brother. However, Tom continued to grow and flourish, and five years later, he purchased two additional stores. He even changed the name to Domino's the same year, and while he had other logo ideas, the firm began franchising in 1967.

This resulted in fast expansion, so much so that by 1978, they had over 200 shops in America alone and were still expanding rapidly. By 1983, the firm had begun expanding globally, and by 2014, it had over 6000 outlets worldwide. A substantial portion of that is now concentrated in India, which has over 1000 Domino's outlets, making it the country with the most Domino's locations outside of the United States.

All of this occurred after Monaghan sold 93% of his business stock in 1998 for almost $1 billion and declared his retirement. It is now listed on the NYSE stock market.
