While the number may vary, a medium Domino's pizza typically has between 6 to 8 slices.
Founded in 1960, Domino’s started after two brothers, Tom and Jim Monaghan, bought over the operations of a local pizza restaurant chain. The deal turned out to be a poor one at the start but it eventually paid out as by 1965, Tom had bought two more outlets. By 1978, they had over 200 outlets across America alone and had already begun plans to expand overseas. So much so, that by 1983, the firm had opened its 1000th location and had started the overseas expansion. Now, as of 2025, the fast-food franchise has well over 10,000 outlets across the world as the brand continues to thrive.

About Domino’s
Domino's was founded in 1960 when Tom Monaghan and his brother, Jim, bought a small pizza parlor in Michigan, but Joe soon quit the company and traded his share to his brother. However, Tom continued to grow and flourish the company as five years later, he had purchased two additional stores. He even changed the name to Domino's the same year, and while he had other logo ideas, the firm began franchising in 1967.
This resulted in fast expansion, so much so that by 1978, they had over 200 shops in America alone and were still expanding rapidly. By 1983, the firm had begun expanding globally, and by 2014, it had over 6000 outlets worldwide. A substantial portion of that is now concentrated in India, which has over 1000 Domino's outlets, making it the country with the most Domino's locations outside of the United States. All of this occurred after Monaghan sold 93% of his business stock in 1998 for almost $1 billion and retired with the company now listed on the NYSE stock market.
