A closer look at the upcoming Air Jordan 8 "Aqua" re-releasing in 2025
The AJ8 is a popular silhouette of the Jumpman label and has gone through several makeovers and iterations over the years. This is especially true for the "Aqua" colorway, which, after its original release in 1993, saw new renditions in 2007, 2015, and 2018; now, a 2025 version is coming up soon.
This fresh take on the "Aqua" design is said to be a carbon copy of the 1993 version, but it will be coming without the sparkly detailing in the blue and purple midsole, giving it a slightly more mature look than the other versions.
The shoes feature uppers crafted from black nubuck with medium grey paneling placed strategically. The uppers sit on a purple and blue midsole and a black rubber outsole. Brand detailing includes a tri-tone chenille Jumpman logo on the tongue that pays homage to the original Air Jordan 8.
More features include a mid-cut silhouette, a midfoot strap, and lace-type closure.
The Air Jordan 8 Aqua has been rescheduled for release in July and will be available in-store and online at Nike's SNKRS and other select retailers.
