Word on the streets is that the Dairy Queen’s S’mores Blizzard is making a grand return in 2025. On December 20, 2024, the ice cream company announced that the beloved dessert would be returning.
Diary Queen conducted a poll amongst its customers earlier this month to determine which of its favorite treats would be returning, and the S’mores Blizzard emerged with the highest votes over the other two options—Georgia Mud Fudge Blizzard and the Cappuccino Health Blizzard.
The brand revealed in a statement on Instagram on December 20, 2024:
“The fans have spoken! The fan-favorite flavor making its triumphant return in 2025 is the S’mores BLIZZARD Treat!”
It continued:
"Treat yourself to this returning DQ FREEZER flavor in April 2025 as part of the DQ Summer Blizzard Menu."
According to People Magazine's report of December 2024, the Blizzard will be returning in April 2025. Foodies can rest assured that they’re getting their Marshmallow-packed frozen goodies soon.

Diary Queen introduces the ice cream variety on their website as follows:
"Summer was made for s’mores, and with the DQ S’mores Blizzard Treat, you can get your sweet, chocolatey, gooey, marshmallow-ey fix without the fuss of pitching a tent or building a campfire,"
It continues:
"Transport yourself through memories of camping trips and sleepovers with every bite of the S’mores Blizzard Treat, featuring marshmallow-filled DQ chocolate bars and graham crackers blended with our world-famous soft serve to Blizzard Treat perfection."
The ice cream treat is made from a blend of chocolate bars filled with marshmallows, graham crackers, and vanilla soft serve. They were released in June 2013 and gained a massive following due to their addictive taste.
The Blizzard became a fixture for the ice cream chain’s summer menus. After the ice cream treat disappeared from Diary Queen’s menu in 2020, fans were overjoyed when the Blizzard returned in 2023.

The Blizzard usually sells anything between $3.69 to $4.49, depending on sizing. Multiple recipes exist online so fans can try to make their blizzards as they await the ice cream treat in 2025.
