The American footwear company Crocs has engaged in the buzz surrounding the eagerly awaited premiere of the upcoming series Squid Game 2. Crocs introduced a distinctive variation of its Classic Clog design inspired by the Squid Game concept. In addition to themed clogs, the footwear brand designed an assortment of Jibbitz charms reminiscent of the show's components.
The Crocs X Squid Game 2 Classic Clog and Jibbitz charm set were launched on December 9, ahead of the Squid Game 2 premiere, scheduled for December 26. Both items are currently available for purchase via the official online store and physical locations of the footwear brand.
While the Classic Clog is marked with a $69.99 price, a matching Jibbitz pack will cost you $19.99. The men's and women’s sizing options vary from US4 to US13 and US6 to US12, respectively.
Crocs X Squid Game 2 Classic Clog is based on the show’s green tracksuit design
The Classic Clog is inspired by the green jumpsuits worn by the 456 competitors in the game, with a Croslite top adorned with a graphic patterning that mimics the attire. The play area, reminiscent of the game of marbles featured in episodes 6 and 7 of the inaugural season, is also highlighted.
The sidewall of the sole unit has a blood-splattered appearance accompanied by illustrations of games from the program. This striking pattern extends to the sports mode strap, which displays 456 on the back, the number associated with the series' protagonist, Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jun-jae).
Jibbitz charms reference several emblematic elements of the series. This encompasses the Dalgona candy that participants meticulously carve to make it through the initial rounds, the doll's head featured in the "red light, green light" challenge, the mask worn by the guards who execute the rules, marble from the game of marbles, and the invitation card.
The description of the Squid Game 2 Classic Clog on the brand’s website reads:
“Gear up for the game with the Squid Game Classic Clog. This killer style features an all-over green tracksuit print, with a splattering of blood detail. Squid Game logos punctuate the rivets, with the player ID “456” attached to the ankle strap."
