Bodega and ASICS are collaborating on a new sneaker called Gel-Kayano 20. 2024 has been a great year for sneakerheads. As the year ends, Bodega x ASICS Gel-Kayano 20 gives its fans a great way to wrap up the year in style.
The Bodega x ASICS Gel-Kayano 20 “Friends & Family” sneakers come with a winter-ready design with earthy tones and tough material. It will launch on December 27 at noon EST. One can get them from the Bodega website for $180. The sneakers are Friends and Family exclusive.

Bodega uploaded a new post on Instagram on December 20, announcing the release of the Bodega x ASICS Gel-Kayano 20. It gave a glimpse of the first look of the shoes.
The upper part of the Gel-Kayano 20 has a neutral brown and grey color. The inner lining and shoelaces are neon green, making a contrasting appearance. The upper is made of two mesh layers to make it breathable. The shoes also use GEL technology to provide faster shock absorption and comfort on the heels and forefoot. Welded overlays make the shoes durable.
The bottom of the shoe is divided into sections that give it better flexibility and grip. It also comes with alternate lacing for better customization. ASICS's stripes are present on the side with GEL-KAYANO 20 and Bodega written for branding. It comes in 18 sizes.
Bodega also shared the inspiration behind the Gel-Kayano 20 by adding,
"When we released the Bodega x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 20 in September, the team was fascinated by the idea of compound interest. Not like they teach in Finance 301, but the kind set to the soundtrack of day-to-day living. If life is a marathon and not a sprint, it's important to recognize that it's those small wins that are going to add up to something great. But that first domino can sometimes be the heaviest - wait someone write that down."
The site further continued,
"So when we got the green light to release a small run of the GEL-KAYANO 20s in an alternate colorway initially workshopped during the design phase, we knew we wanted to share it with our friends, family, and loyal supporters. After all, these are the people that get us up and out the door every day."

Bodega is also collaborating with Sahra Nguyen for their Vietnamese coffee. Buyers of the Bodega x ASICS Gel-Kayano 20 “Friends & Family” sneaker will also get their Vietnamese coffee with a Stanley Camp Mug, making it a complete brew kit.
