Anime fans are going crazy over the Bleach x Asics 20th-anniversary Bleach-themed sneakers. These are limited-edition sneakers, so do not miss out on them. The collaboration between Bleach and Asics resulted in two sneakers: the GEL-NYC “Renji Abarai” and the GT-2160 “Ichigo Kurosaki”.
The sneakers will exclusively be available at Foot Locker and Champ Sports. The BLEACH x ASICS GT-2160 “Ichigo Kurosaki” will retail at $145, while the BLEACH x ASICS GEL-NYC “Renji Abarai” will be priced at $165.
Both sneakers will be available on the mentioned websites on 27 December 2024 in men's sizes only.
Bleach x Asics 20th-anniversary themed sneakers: More details
These two sneakers are going to launch during the New York Comic Con. The colorways for both the sneakers are inspired by the two main characters in the anime.
The GT-2160 is inspired by the show's protagonist, Ichigo Kurosaki. The sneakers are a blend of a black, white, and orange colorway, representing the attire of the character with his orange hair. The name of the character is written on the lateral side of the sneakers in Japanese.
The sneaker's upper features a white mesh with a unique pattern and a black signature Asics suede overlay. There are also streaks of orange and red that reflect the muse's (Ichigo Kurosaki) color scheme in the show.
The GEL-NYC is inspired by another main character in the anime, Renji Abarai. It has a red, black, and gold/tan colorway that references the character's hair and skin tone. A unique feature of these sneakers is the two symbols located on the heels. They represent the 6th Division of the Goeti 13, a division that Renji Abarai serves.
There are close similarities in the design between the GEL-NYC and the GT-1260. The base of the upper is made of soft red suede and encased in gold/tan overlays. There are also touches of red suede around the toe and black suede on the tongue and laces.
