The Air Max Plus collection is vast and has undergone many iterations and makeovers over time. Originally released in 1998 as a running shoe, the Air Max Plus has since transcended the limits of running to become a lifestyle shoe and one of the sneakerheads' go-to fashion staples.
This silhouette was designed by Sean McDowell, who got inspiration from the swaying palm trees in Florida. According to Sneaker News, this popular silhouette will be releasing a new iteration. Although the exact date isn't certain, Sneaker News reports that Air Max enthusiasts should see the release of this pair this year. It has a price tag of $185, and upon release, it can be purchased via Nike's SNKRS and other select retail stores.

More details on the Air Max Plus Drift 'Sunset'
The Air Max Plus Drift Sunset sneakers are based on the iconic Air Max Sunrise. While the OG silhouette reflects the hues of a new day, this new model mirrors the color of the sunset.
The uppers of this model are crafted from mesh materials enclosed by a TPU cage that not only adds structure to the shoes but also creates a mental picture of the ocean waves and moving palm trees. Like the other models in this series, this fresh iteration uses Nike's signature Turned Air innovation, which works in tandem with Visible Air units in the midsole to increase shock absorption and prevent the feet from rolling inwards.
The Air Max Sunset is dressed in an orange, pink, purple, and black color-blocking scheme, with each color blending into the other to express the hues of the setting sun meticulously. The brand details include an embroidered orange Swoosh logo on the side and a bold purple Swoosh Air logo patch attached to the tongue.
Other features include lace closings and a TPU plate in the midsole that provides added support and structure. The Swoosh followers are advised to pay attention to Nike's official website for further updates on the release date of the Air Max Plus Drift 'Sunset' sneakers.
In related news, the Air Max series will be adding quite a number to its collection this 2025, with some including the Air Max DN8, the SB Air Max 95 "Cactus Flower," the Nike Air Max 90 "Batman," the Nike Air Max Muse "White/Metallic Silver," the Nike Air Max 1 "Smoke Grey/Royal," the Nike Air Max Sunder "Doernbecher," and the Nike Air Max DN8 "Black/University Red," amongst others.
