Release date and other details
The "UNC" Air Jordan 4 PE will not have a public release as they are player-exclusive. However, sneakerheads will have the opportunity to purchase several other AJ4s in 2025, such as the Undefeated 4s and Black Cat 4s, to mention a few.
Sneaker design
The shoes' top and sole unit are both decorated with the basketball team's primary colors, just like the previous UNC Air Jordans. The whole shoe is coated in monochromatic "University Blue," which expertly blends light and dark hues.
The wings and lower eyestay seem to have an extremely thin layer of suede over the TPU substance, while the toe, tongue, and backtab are all textured leather over a buttery suede base.
A variety of metallic gold accents can also be seen such as a lace dubrae that reads "UNC" and gold Jumpman emblems on the tongue and heel, both of which have crystal "basketballs" on the dunking hand.
Additionally, the lace dubrae and a golden, jewel-encrusted Jumpman hangtag are references to the Tar Heels.
History of Air Jordan 4
The rich hybrid design of the Air Jordan 4 made sure that its launch generated buzz equally amongst people who dominated the lifestyle market and those who dominated the basketball court.
During its 35-year history, Air Jordan has produced a significant amount of iconography. It would be an understatement to say that the Jordan 4 is famous given its numerous partnerships, unbeaten court record, and several colorways that have stood the test of time.
The design proved to be another game-changer for the Jumpman brand. The Air Jordan 4 was the result of Tinker Hatfield's retreat into his sketchbooks in 1989. Through high-profile partnerships and a variety of colorways, the Air Jordan 4 has effectively transitioned from its 1989 launch to become a modern shoe legend, retaining its timeless appeal while embracing current trends.
These sneakers seem to be a fantastic addition to the Air Jordan 4 collection and fans can't wait for them to drop.
