The Swoosh company’s sublabel Jordan Brand is planning to bring back one of its more popular basketball shoes, the Air Jordan 1 High 85’ “Bred.” The Bred sneaker colorways have been adored by sneakerheads over the years for their red, white, and black configuration.
As Michael Jordan’s Jumpman label is marking its 40th anniversary in 2025, it will rerelease its earliest iterations once again.
According to initial reports of Zsneakerheadz, the Air Jordan 1 High 85’ “Bred” is expected to be reintroduced into the shoe market on February 14, 2025. These high-top basketball footwear designs will be marked with a selling price of $250 per pair.
The pairs will be accessible through the online and offline stores of Nike, SNKRS app, and its other connected sellers. Other sizing options may also arrive for purchase.

Air Jordan 1 High 85’ “Bred” shoe is a historical design worn by Michael Jordan
The 1985 Air Jordan 1 "Bred" shade has an extensive past. The shoe was conceived by Peter Moore, Tinker Hatfield, and Bruce Kilgore for Michael Jordan's debut season while playing for the Chicago Bulls.
The NBA's uniform rules mandated that boots be at least 51% white, so the classic black and red palette was unconventional. Michael Jordan was penalized $5,000 by the NBA every time he wore the sneakers which Nike agreed to cover the cost of, but the controversy made them more appealing.
Therefore, the rerelease of Air Jordan 1 High 85’ “Bred” rendition on the occasion of its anniversary becomes more significant. The Varsity Red toe top of the sneaker will feature perforations to facilitate ventilation. These toe sections will be enclosed by daring black mudguards.
Following this, the tongue flaps and eyelets will boast black makeup, complimented with matching lace sets. The tongues are finished off with red Nike branding accents. The sizeable lateral Swooshes and heel areas will be decked in red. The brand details include the black Air Wing logo near the collar.
The inner lining shows a black finish. Finally, finishing off the shoe is the plain white sole.
Sneakerheads are advised to stay connected to the Nike website for timely updates on the release information.
In related news, Air Jordan 1 High “Shattered Backboard” style of the basketball shoe also surfaced online, following the rumours of its expected launch in July 2025.
