adidas Konektis's design is inspired by Switzerland's Alps mountains
On December 16, adidas football and weuro2025 shared an Instagram post unveiling Konektis. The post gave the first glimpse of the match ball, which will be used to play the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025.
The caption of the post said,
"the peak of the beautiful game.⛰️ introducing Konektis the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 match ball."
The ball is white in color with multicolored swirls. The colors used to make this ball are dark purple, orange, light blue or cyan, and lime green with a hint of red. Together, these colors create a striking effect that shows the movements, energy, and nature of the game. It has patterns of the Alps mountains in Switzerland and also famous landmarks. The landmarks include Basel City Hall, Lucerne Chapel Bridge, and the Geneva Water Jet.
The match ball also has a UEFA Women's Euro logo and "Switzerland 2025" written on it, representing the event's location and year. The patterns make the ball stand out, increasing its visibility during the matches.
More details about Konektis and UEFA Women’s EURO 2025
UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 is 197 days away, and Konektis will be used as the official ball to play the game. The Konektis word used by adidas resembles "connected" in Esperanto, signifying how this tournament brings people close.
The outer layer of the ball is made of a precision shell and CTR-CORE to keep its shape and help with movement. The ball has a connected ball technology that helps referees make quicker and more accurate decisions during the games, like penalties.
The match will be played in eight different cities. This includes Bern, Geneva, Basel, Zurich, St. Gallen, Sion, Lucerne, and Thun. The tournament will start on July 2, 2025, and will end on July 27, 2025.
The Konektis ball retails for $170 on the adidas website. The ball will be used to play the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 starting July 2, 2025.
