Adidas announced a new collaboration with Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 in their new press release on January 7, 2025. This is the first time Adidas will be collaborating with a brand for Formula 1.
In this partnership, Adidas will be designing and providing apparel, footwear, and accessories for the team. The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team includes mechanics, drivers, and engineers.
This is a long-term partnership and will last for multiple years.
Adidas will reveal the first collection for Mercedes-Benz's Formula 1 racing team in February
Along with the press release, Adidas also uploaded a new Instagram post on January 7, revealing their new partnership with the motorsport group.
Adidas will be mostly focusing on creating the footwear, apparel, and accessories needed for the Formula 1 team.
The collection is also expected to launch for Formula 1 lovers on the brand's website.
The CEO of Adidas, Bjørn Gulden, made a statement regarding the new partnership by saying,
"We are very happy to be back in the world of motorsport. Interest in motorsport in general and Formula 1 in particular has been growing a lot. It is reaching new consumers and has a big influence on sport and street culture. We are extremely proud to introduce the Three Stripes into F1 as Official Team Partner of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team – one of the most successful teams ever."
He further continued:
"Together, we share the passion for speed, innovation and performance. We will support the drivers and the team to push the limits on the track. Off the track we will bring a fresh perspective to the sport by introducing exciting lifestyle product and extending the reach to a new generation of fans. We look forward to supporting Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 and win together.”
