Adidas SPZL and C.P. Company are commemorating their 10th-anniversary partnership with a new collection that attributes updated versions of classic footwear and apparel styles. After their successful partnership in 2021, which celebrated C.P. Company’s 50th anniversary, the two brands have come together again, merging Adidas’s sportswear legacy with C.P. Company’s serviceable style.
The latest Adidas SPZL x C.P. Company collection comprises a mixture of footwear, apparel, and accessories, all designed with premium materials and an emphasis on detail. It will drop on November 12, 2024, and will be available on the Adidas website and through select physical retail stores.
The footwear collection revisits classic designs with a novel viewpoint
The footwear collection comprises six models, each providing an exclusive update to popular Adidas silhouettes. One standout is the CP Wimberly SPZL, which takes motivation from an 80s version of the Adidas Universal. It comes in two versions: one has a leather upper with zigzag stitching, while the other is made completely from suede.
Another prominent shoe is the CP Helvellyn SPZL, a winter-ready boot inspired by Adidas Nepal. The boot features suede and mesh, with gunmetal hardware and a gusseted tongue, making it suitable for colder months.
The CP SL 83 SPZL, taking inspiration from the Adidas SL 82, makes an appearance with modernized materials and the latest olive green colorway. Additionally, the CP Manchester SPZL and CP Italia SPZL, two of the most prevalent designs from the partnership, are being brought back with premium upgrades.
Apparel mixes the aesthetics of brands for an exclusive offering
In terms of apparel, the Adidas SPZL x C.P. company collaboration continues the combination of both brands’ signature design elements. A sweatshirt attributing C.P. Company’s sailor graphic reworked with an Adidas SPZL twist, stands out as a playful nod to both brands’ identities.
The collection includes pocket tees, which reference the graphics found on C.P. Company’s Mille Miglia jackets from the 1980s. A half-zip knit adds a state-of-the-art touch, revising the first Mod Trefoil piece ever announced by Adidas SPZL back in 2014. Perfecting these products is a track top and pants made from fine needle cord, presenting a modern take on the Settend 2 tracksuit initially released by Adidas SPZL in 2015.
Outerwear pieces showcase high-end craftsmanship and functional design
The outerwear pieces in the collection are exceptionally prominent for their expertise and premium materials. The CP SPZL Puffer Jacket and CP SPZL Flying Jacket are the two key parts in this category, both fashioned with Italian materials that blend style and utility. The puffer jacket is designed from flat nylon with a light resin finish, giving it a smooth, minimalistic look.
The Flying Jacket, inspired by classic aviation styles, is crafted with a fleece-lined collar for added warmth. Both jackets have embroidered logo patches and the signature C.P. Company lens on the left wrist, giving it subtle branding and functional detailing.
