Adidas and Japanese brand BAPE are once again joining hands to collaborate on their new BAPE Orketro sneakers, bringing a fresh twist on the 2000s-inspired Orketro design, which was created in Tokyo. The brands have also collaborated before for the launch of Originals NMD_R1, Super Ape Star, and many more sneakers. As 2024 is coming to an end, the brand is again back with adidas Originals x BAPE, bringing back nostalgia and contemporary fashion in their new sneakers.
The BAPE Orketro sneaker will launch on CONFIRMED and BAPE.com on November 23, 2024, and retails for $150. Fans can sign up from November 16, 2024, on the CONFIRMED app.
adidas Originals x BAPE Comes in Three Colorways!
The adidas Originals x BAPE can be bought from the adidas CONFIRMED app. Fans can sign up for the BAPE Orketro Sneakers from November 16, 2024. The sneakers come in three colorways. The first two colorways are Green/Power Blue/Blue and Dark Purple/Cloud White/Core Black, offering a bold and dynamic look. adidas Originals x BAPE also has a third sneaker made of a white midsole and tonal black uppers.
The first sneaker is inspired by the classic "Brazil" colors, with shiny leather that reminds of the Y2K BAPESTA style. It comes in a special box with a blue mesh bag and three types of laces: yellow, blue, and reflective white.
The second version uses the same purple camo colors as the classic design, with shiny leather that looks like the Y2K BAPESTA. Along with the special box and a blue mesh bag, it also has two types of laces: purple and reflective white.
The Orketro sneaker features three contrasting stripes on the left shoe and the BAPE STA™ logo on the right. It combines mesh and enamel leather with a Y2K-inspired color scheme and a 1ST LINE CAMO update on the upper. It also has 'A Bathing Ape®' and adidas Originals logos, which adds to the collaboration. All versions in this adidas Originals x BAPE collaboration are made for a regular fit with a lace closure and textile lining.
Adidas shared the inspiration behind their latest sneaker collaboration with BAPE® in the sneaker description, stating,
"For our latest collaboration with BAPE®, the Orketro was a natural starting point. An '00s-inspired adidas shoe designed in Japan, it calls to the era when BAPE® grew from underground Japanese label to globally hyped brand."
The brand is also offering free shipping for the adiClub members and a 60-day return and exchange.
