Action Bronson has teamed up with New Balance to create a new sneaker silhouette. The musician/TV presenter/ designer shared a sneak peek of the sneakers on his Instagram on January 23, 2025, with the caption:
“BAKLAVA X NB 990 V6 “AMAZONIA.”
Action Bronson debuted the "Amazonia" sneakers on January 15, 2025, as a guest on the Ariel Helwani Show. He has since been tight-lipped about details on the brightly colored sneakers.
According to Sneaker Bar Detroit’s report of January 22, the New Balance 990v6 variations may hit the market in Spring 2025 at a price tag of $220.

Action Bronson is returning to the silhouette that launched his design journey with New Balance, having collaborated to release the Baklava and Lapis Lazuli colorways of the 990v6 in 2023.
The multihyphenate has become a frequent collaborator with the shoe brand and previously designed performance collections centered around the 1906R and the Fuel Cell Rebel V4.
Perhaps Action Bronson x New Balance’s most colorful creation yet, the "Amazonia" sneakers feature an eccentric color-blocking scheme of turquoise, blue, and neon pink accents on the upper area. The soles are left in minimalist hues of light brown, pale green, and grey, providing an artful contrast against the rest of the shoes.
The shoe laces also join in on the fun and are dressed in black and red. The laces contrast nicely against the burgundy red, grey, and blue highlights on the tongue. The bold design also features a mudguard for balance and wearability.
Branding details include the Baclava moniker on the tongue and 990 printed in black on the brown midsole. The sneakers made it to Action Bronson’s lookbook for the Baklava sportswear line, and his longtime friend, Meyhem Lauren, was seen wearing the “Amazonia.”
Like his previous releases, sneaker enthusiasts will find the stylish footwear a versatile blend of streetwear and sports. While the designer has yet to reveal the meaning behind the “Amazonia” title, experts speculate that it is because the colors of the upcoming sneakers reflect the vibrancy of the Amazonian Rainforest.
The Amazonia sneakers aren’t the only designs to be released in 2025. Bronson teased another edition of the 990v6 in electric pink, red, white, and blue.
