The challenge quickly went viral on social media. GameStop responded to the new about the challenge taken up by 'ChickenDog' on their Twitter account. The comment received a lot of hilarious reactions from many.

While this may be funny to many, for those who love gaming, the Nintendo Switch 2 is one of the most anticipated releases.

Cheaper to fly to Japan (via RoafringSensei)

Fans thought that it might be cheaper to fly to Japan and get it directly from @Nintendo instead of dealing with @GameStop.

GameStop has become involved in handling or managing the preorders for a product, possibly in a special or new way! @MrJokerCPoC responded:

"GameStop tapped in on the preorders, or somethin'?"

Something is exciting and special about picking up a highly anticipated item in person on launch day, according to @LikeToBeBossy:

"Honestly, where is the fun in that? It’s just so much more fun to pick it up in the store on launch day."

@OSYRYS_2 remarked that it might be a viable idea to check with the specific store:

"If I pre order at my local store and I move before release day can I have the pre order transferred to another store?"

Pre-orders can be a bit confusing sometimes, especially if the dates aren’t clear. @ChitoGamingLive joked:

"You telling us preorder like we know when that preorder start."

@Siggy0107 pointed out that there is something nostalgic about the rush of Black Friday or launch day excitement.

"Lol he wanted to feel like old Black Friday times."

One fan took a dig at GameStop for suggesting the pre-order:

"'Bro just do the thing that is literally impossible right now.'"

GameStop, which mainly retails video games and consoles, is in the business of allowing customers to pre-order so that they can get the console before it hits the market. This is one of their most successful business strategies.

Even YouTuber ‘Chickendog’ sees his camping challenge as a bit of fun and a challenge. He has created a streaming stunt, which has become a big draw for his fans. While GameStop’s funny tweet added a light humor to his actions, it proves that light fun and competition among gamers always prevail.
