Well, it's official: 'Timeless' by The Weeknd and Playboi Carti has been chosen as the official Wrestlemania 41 song. The Wrestlemania season is in full swing, and fans have been waiting with bated breaths for WWE to work up its magic. And it's fair to say they haven't disappointed us. Every WWE event has felt like a tease till now, but the news has got wrestling fanatics all over the world talking.

Fans react hilariously as 'Timeless' by The Weeknd and Playboi Carti is chosen as the official Wrestlemania 41 song

There had been speculation that Travis Scott's FE!N would be chosen as the official Wrestlemania 41 song, but in classic WWE fashion, The Weeknd and Playboi Carti rolled up their sleeves, marched to the ring, and threw Travis over the top turnbuckle. This also marks the 6th consecutive time that one of Abel's tracks has been chosen as the official Wrestlemania song.

For a while, it had looked like The Weeknd's streak at Wrestlemania was about to be broken but all seems to be well now with The Weeknd stans. The news sent wrestling fans into overdrive, and the internet turned into a glorious dumpster fire of hype, confusion, and unhinged memes:

"THE STREAK CONTINUES", exclaimed one fan (via X / @flinchy__finch)
"The weekend strikes again lmao", joked one fan (via X / @king_of_da_ring)

When The Weekend's song Blinding Lights was chosen as the Wrestlemania theme for the first time, few could have imagined that it'd go on to become such a phenomenon. It has developed into a full-blown cult now, with fans comparing it to Undertaker's legendary 21-0 streak at Wrestlemania. The R&B singer and The Undertaker may not share many similarities, but staying undefeated at Wrestlemania is certainly one of them!

Fans have created side-by-side comparisons of the singer and The Undertaker mixing it up in the ring as the meme lords are working overtime. One fan even demanded a Wrestlemania match between The Undertaker and the Timeless-famed star:

"The Weeknd vs The Undertaker", joked the fan (via X / @DreamCJen)

Can you imagine a Wrestlemania match between the Less Than Zero-famed star at the Phenom at The Showcase of The Immortals? The roof would blow off the place even as we cut to Playboi Carti dabbing in the background next to a confused-looking Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Undertaker HAS to come out of retirement to claim the bragging rights over Wrestlemania!

The Weeknd's streak is developing into a major movement now and theories are swirling on the internet about how the WWE let this happen. Some fans suggest that Triple H is a big fan of his, while others suggest Abel has dirt over Triple H. Either way, there's one thing you can't deny: his songs SLAP over the wrestling montages even as the crowd goes crazy in the background.

"They must have signed a 10 year deal or something", quipped one fan (via X / @violetstorm)
"WWE definitely has a lifetime agreement with The Weeknd" , wondered another (via X / @tega1x)

Maybe he's just biding his time and waiting to swoop in for the WWE Championship at the perfect opportunity. Who knows. Seeing how absurd the situation is, we can't rule out Abel having signed a deal with WWE secretly.

Even in the face of immense pressure and mass hysteria, the haters are showing no signs of buckling. In an era where hip-hop and R&B reign supreme, one fan (@uncle_vaughn) pined to bring the old rock songs back:

"Bro bring back the f*** Rock music lmao", implored the fan.

As The Weeknd's streak continues to snowball into a glorious mess, it continues to baffle and amuse in equal measure. A couple of years down the line, we can even look forward to having Abel inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. At least then he wouldn't have to worry about Snoop Dogg taking shots at him for not being part of the exclusive club!

As we gear up for WrestleMania 41, one thing is clear: The Weeknd's streak has created an atmosphere ripe for comedy and chaos among fans. Love it or hate it, The Weeknd’s six-year WrestleMania dynasty is here to stay—at least until someone convinces Triple H to the contrary.
