We all know that some of the strangest and most random videos go viral online and become overnight trends. Humans are extremely simple creatures, that find even the most basic things cool - like a stick. But what happens when they start showing off some cool sticks they found online?

Well, that’s exactly how Stick Nation became a movement on TikTok, born from two men reviewing the simplest tools known to man: sticks.

It all began in 2023 when friends Boone Hogg and Logan Jugler found a cool-looking stick in Arches National Park, Utah. According to the duo, it had an excellent grain and a grip that felt like a gun. So they decided to review it and upload the video on TikTok, thinking it would be funny to dedicate their account to reviewing sticks.

They continued posting more such reviews, and what started as an inside joke soon started spreading across TikTok. However, it wasn’t until The New York Times wrote about them that their account began racking up followers at an alarming rate.

People worldwide started sharing their own videos reviewing cool sticks, and the account has since amassed nearly 3 million followers. The trend has also spawned several humorous puns, such as TikTok for stick reviews being called StickTok and the community of reviewers being dubbed the Stickhead Community. As of today, the Stick Nation movement has grown into a full-fledged international TikTok trend.

It’s hard to believe that this is actually a naturally shaped stick that looks like a sword, and not a real wooden sword that was carved for fighting practice!

Now that’s a cool-looking stick you don’t see every day! You could even keep it as a decorative item in your home, and guests would definitely mistake it for an expensive piece of furniture.

Should this stick be used as a walking stick, a weapon, or just to give a thumbs-up to people without using your hands? Tough call!
