God of War fans, we know that you've been waiting for an update as to when the TV show adaptation of the famous video game will be released. And boy, oh boy, there's an update for you all!

In a recent interview, the showrunner, Ronald D. Moore, revealed that he couldn't play the game because he had a hard time figuring out the modern-day video game controllers. In other words: Uh-oh. (via X/@CultureCrave)

Fans' hilarious comments to the God of War showrunner's comment

Because of the somewhat bad news that Ronald D. Moore stated, fans poked fun at him, saying that if he can't play the video games, then how will he do the TV series adaptation? (via X/@The_Real__Adam)

Other fans also trolled Amazon, saying that they hired someone who doesn't know the ins and outs of the game, so how will he love the adaptation that he's creating? (via X/@NakeemHere)

Fans also begged Ronald D. Moore to not ruin the video game because, let's face it, God of War is one of the best video games ever created, so ruining it because the showrunner of the series adaptation doesn't know how to play the game kind of sucks, TBH.

"God Of War is one of the greatest game of all time. Please try not to ruin it in live action TV Series." - a fan said (via X/@not_forbid2)

Other fans hilariously suggested that Ronald D. Moore should watch YouTube video tutorials or watch walkthrough videos of God of War to be fully immersed in the video game.

"Does he at least know the plot of the series ? At least watch some YouTube walkthrough or something. Plz don't spit ball." - another fan added (via X/@AyooTexanNation)

Some fans also clowned the showrunner of the TV series adaptation, saying that when he said he's not a gamer, that's seriously a red flag!

X users also joked with the showrunner, Ronald D. Moore, stating that it's better if Amazon finds a different showrunner who is also passionate about the video game. (via X/@JDDavison93)

Other X users also roasted Ronald D. Moore, saying that when he said he can't figure out the controllers, it means he can't press the square button.

And finally, because Ronald D. Moore is the showrunner, X users joked that it's either the God of War TV series is 10/10 or it's 0/10—there's no in between.

"It’s going to be 10/10 or 0/10 no between." - another X user commented (via X/@WelcomeNowLeave)

All about God of War: TV Series

Since Ronald D. Moore is the series' showrunner, fans are expecting that he'll be somewhat immersed in the video game (let's hope he watches YouTube tutorials and walkthroughs). But make no mistake, Ron is one heck of a writer, having written Star Trek episodes, among others! So maybe Amazon has every right to hire him as God of War's showrunner.

Now, going back to the TV series adaptation, there's still no definite date yet as to when the first season will drop, but according to Ron, Amazon greenlit Season 2, so we'll be waiting for the two seasons of GoW so Ron still has time left to be truly invested in what he will write!

Now that GoW has been greenlit for 2 Seasons, we're hoping and manifesting that Ronald D. Moore knows what he will write about, especially since he admitted he doesn't play the video game of the series he's writing.

We're crossing our fingers that the TV series adaptation is better than the video game so that other people will also be enticed to play the video game—Ronald D. Moore included!
