The 2025 war action film Warfare has been very well received by critics ahead of its April 11th release in the U.S. and April 18th in the UK. Based on Ray Mendoza’s experiences during the Iraq War as a former U.S. Navy SEAL, written and directed by Mendoza himself, the film boasts an impressive ensemble cast and has been praised for powerfully capturing the primal terror of combat. And thanks to such a great early reception, the cast recently decided to celebrate the film in a very unique way.

Warfare co-stars Noah Centineo, Joseph Quinn, Charles Melton, Kit Connor, Will Poulter, Michael Gandolfini, D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, and Cosmo Jarvis recently shared a photo showing off their matching tattoos with their pants down to celebrate the critical success of Warfare. Each of them got inked on the thigh with the phrase "Call on" Me"—a reference to the only piece of music featured in the film. The image has since gone viral, leaving the internet buzzing and even more eager to check out the film.

Hilarious Internet Reactions

Internet users were quite amused seeing the Warfare cast get matching tattoos on their thighs and wasted no time hopping online to share their hilarious reactions.

"Sponsored by Marlboro," a user joked.

A bunch of cast members were seen holding or smoking a cigarette in the viral photo. So could it be that those tattoos were possibly sponsored by Marlboro or some other cigarette company? Hey, with the way brand deals work these days, anything’s possible!

"Why was I thinking first that they tryna be hiphop or something where they lower their pants 😭," wrote another.

Fashion can sure be hilariously confusing. Look at this user—she genuinely thought the cast members pulling their pants down to show off their matching thigh tattoos were actually just rocking super low-waist pants, hip-hop style!

Netizens were quick to notice that one of the cast members, Will Poulter, was missing from the photo. Could it be that he was too embarrassed to join in, or maybe he was still at the tattoo parlor getting his ink done?

"Haven’t seen the movie but ik it wasn’t good enough for all that," a user said.

Well, no matter how good a movie might be, this user believes it still wouldn't be good enough to justify getting a tattoo.

"This is a very strange promotional tour," commented another.

Now that's quite the unconventional promotional tour—you definitely don’t see a bunch of men getting matching thigh tattoos to celebrate their movie’s success every day!

The cast of Warfare has definitely piqued curiosity by getting matching thigh tattoos ahead of the film’s release, making moviegoers even more eager to check it out. Warfare hits theaters on April 11th in the US and April 18th in the UK.
