Marvel Rivals has taken the gaming world by storm. The popular free-to-play third-person hero shooter has already surpassed 40 million players worldwide as of February 2025, making it one of the most successful games in recent years. While players get to control their favorite characters from the Marvel Universe, it seems they recently stumbled upon a new character, though not in the way they expected, but in one of the most comical ways possible.

An image from Marvel Rivals has recently gone viral, featuring Blade taking a nap in Wakanda. The character is even shown tucked under a blanket, with his sword resting right beside him on the bed. The image has left fans hysterical, wondering if it’s a cheeky hint that Blade might be dropping next or just a hilarious mid-game gag meant to make players laugh.

Hilarious Fan Reactions

Fans were seen having a great laugh at the viral image, taking to the internet to share their hilarious reactions and add to the fun.

"That’s one way to take a power nap," a fan said.

As one fan humorously pointed out, that’s definitely one way to take a power nap—and Blade sure seems to be charging up plenty of power with this one. Imagine the terror he’ll unleash when he wakes up!

"Who put him to sleep?" wondered another.

Looking at how cozy Blade looks while napping, it almost seems like someone tucked him in, pulled up the sheets, sang him a lullaby, kissed him goodnight, and even turned on the night lamp before leaving.

Many fans believe that Blade is being secretly teased as a soon-to-arrive playable character and that Marvel Rivals might reveal him by having him wake up from his nap and gear up for battle.

"Wakanda naps hit different, huh?" a fan wrote.

Blade sure looks like he’s taking the best nap of his life. Wakandan naps must definitely hit different, as this fan suggests.

"Blade took one look at marvel phase 5 and said 🥱," commented another.

Could it be that Blade went to sleep because he just wasn’t a fan of Marvel’s Phase 5 movies? If that’s the case, Marvel might have a tall task on their hands just to get him to open his eyes for the upcoming ones.

The viral image of Blade sleeping in Wakanda in Marvel Rivals has definitely left fans in stitches. So if you want to catch him hilariously snoozing too, Marvel Rivals is available to play on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.
