The Balatro game has been a hot topic on social media. Speculation has started about the mysterious way in which an unknown creator received the award. This popular video game recently won an award at the British Academy Game Awards (BAFTA Games Awards). Surprisingly, the most bizarre thing about Balatro is one knows who the creator of this epic game is!

When Balatro won the BAFTA games award, everyone expected its creator to come on stage and accept the award. But instead, a person in disguise appeared on stage. He was dressed like the Joker! He approached the stage with a full face of paint, colored hair, and the iconic ‘Heath Ledger’ smile.

Many were surprised by the incident. No one understood how this happened. Later, it was learned that the real creator of the game did not come himself.

He wanted to keep his identity a secret, so he sent someone in his place who dressed like the Joker and went on stage to accept the award. Fans claimed that it was Ben, the voice actor for Clive from Final Fantasy 16.

Netizens react hilariously as an anonymous person collects BAFTA Games awards on behalf of Balatro Game’s creator

"How u know it wasn’t him," posted one X user.

It fits the quirky, secretive style that’s kind of become part of Balatro’s charm. @RIRIMETAX speculated if it was him.

@WigginsWick22 claims that it feels like something out of a superhero movie—or maybe a supervillain origin story with the whole Joker thing.

"Why is he trying to hide his identity like he’s some superhero?"

@disparuto explored the wildest possibilities. They claimed that the creator is the guy in the Joker costume. But to keep the mystery alive, he says, "Oh no, that wasn’t me, I sent someone else."

"Plot twist. He dressed himself as a joker and said he sent someone."

@YouSpoonyBard1 expected a better reference to acknowledge Ben Starr's contribution. He goes from giving us emotional devastation in a mysterious awards night cameo like it’s just a Tuesday.

"I love how we are just calling Ben Starr 'a man' like he's not VA royalty lol."

Fans like @Retroboom64 aspired to dress up as the creator's substitute to receive the prestigious award!

It is clear from the creator's work that the Balatro game is as mysterious and unique as its creator. Although the game is similar to a card game, it has special strategies, colorful colors, and many surprises.

The Joker's cameo just fueled the hype about the game, mostly since it imitated the game's vibe.
