The mystery behind the pyramids of Egypt has baffled humanity since time immemorial and is yet to be solved. How did the Egyptians build those massive structures? What coerced them to do so, what was their motive behind it? For the longest time, humans have collectively scratched their heads in confusion and they still haven't come close to finding an answer. But according to a recent post that went viral on X, they just might have. Hold on, wait! Is it happening?

Fans react hilariously as underground structures beneath the pyramids are found

Invariably, the mystery around the pyramid has also given rise to fans coming up with bizarre theories of their own. These theories have ranged from somewhat plausible to entirely ridiculous, as the enigma that is the pyramids of Egypt has captured the fascination of all. From overachieving masons to alien invasions to even divine intervention, fans have exhausted all of the options as nothing was left to the imagination.

Recently a clip went viral on X that allegedly proves that all those absurd theories were, in fact, true. It shows the pyramids being the tip of the obelisk, just like we had all suspected. Turns out, intuition does come in handy sometimes. This sent the netizens into overdrive as they wheeled away in celebration. Users came up with all sorts of theories to prove their point:

"Tinfoil hat : the pyramids and the like are energy weapons used to protect the earth from aliens whom come to harvest the planet. Lol" joked one fan (via X / @rigobear72)

"I actually have this theory.. the pyramids are actually power plants and they were used to harness energy infinitely through the atmosphere.. Tesla was actually making something like this before he died :)" postulated another (via X / @elizabethkaiixo)

Another fan (@FeaveredDreams) took the speculation to greater heights as he proposed a truly terrifying theory:

"It's all fun and games, until you get to the bottom and free Anubis"

The reactions on the internet ranged from suspicion to utter disbelief amongst the fans. The news gave enough ammo to fans to resuscitate the tired old trope of aliens sitting in the basement of the pyramids, which brought back memories:

Amidst all of the chaos and absurdity, the wait for the release of Epstein files goes on...

While some fans believed the rumors, others took it with a pinch of salt and hilariously asked others to lessen their consumption of the History Channel instead:

It's honestly hilarious to see that despite all the advancements that civilization has made, we are still so fixated on the giant sandcastles. We're no engineers but the theories about how the Egyptians built those giant sandcastles have always seemed a little too far-fetched. Either the Egyptians had too much time on their hands or were obsessed were geometry so much that made the construction of the pyramids their lives' sole purpose. Seems like we might get the answers to those questions pretty soon. We just hope that the alien invasion theory doesn't come true!
