It is not very common to come across TikTok trends where everyone gets to eat to their heart's content, but when such a trend surfaces, it makes for moments of pure joy. Recently, a new trend seems to have taken TikTok by storm - the ‘Uber Eats roulette’ trend.

We've all found ourselves at group gatherings where we have spent a considerable amount of time deciding what food we should order. The ‘Uber Eats roulette’ trend has managed to successfully tackle this problem, through a fun game. The trend involves a group of friends, with each person ordering food for two to three people on a budget of $30-40. Everyone has to order food and keep their phones down at the same time, without showing their phones to each other or disclosing the details of the order until the food arrives. So when all the food finally arrives, it makes for one of the most memorable moments. The trend has also yielded some hilarious moments, in which multiple people in the group ended up ordering the same items.

This modern version of a potluck dinner has garnered millions of views on the internet, with several users recording and uploading their own game of Uber Eats roulette.

The trend was first seen on TikTok in October 2020, when a user posted a video of her and her friends playing the Uber Eats roulette, and even gave the game its name. However, it wasn't until 2024 that the game completely blew up on TikTok. (via TikTok / @solsticeandsun)
