Tom Cruise is back, and this time he's hanging off a biplane at 8,000 feet in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning!

In a hair-raising 29-second teaser out by Paramount Pictures, Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt endures 140 mph gusts as he hangs off the plane like it's nothing!

This action, years in the making, is sure to be the climactic highlight of the last in the Mission: Impossible series. Filmed in two years with director Christopher McQuarrie, it's obvious that Cruise and McQuarrie left no expense spared on this stunt.

In the latest jaw-dropping sneak peek of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Tom Cruise shows us that the man has no fear, or perhaps too much.

In the video, we can see Tom Cruise clinging to the wing of an airplane barreling 8,000 feet through the sky, and even though he has a safety cable keeping him from plummeting, let's just say that's the only thing keeping him grounded.

As if flying at that altitude wasn't sufficient, Tom Cruise blithely explains how "physically demanding" it is to stay on the ground while literally flying. The kicker? He continues by explaining that trying to look around while hurtling through space was "disorienting." We can hear him saying in the video's background:

"You can't imagine how physically punishing it was for Tom to be on the wing. The wind distorts your vision. It's almost impossible to breathe."

If you needed any more proof that Tom Cruise is a ball of human energy who talks and walks, this is it, he's basically defying gravity for your amusement. As soon as the news came out, someone took to their X account and commented:

"I’m convinced Tom has a plane fetish lmao"

One X fan jokingly suggested that Tom Cruise must have a plane fetish, and honestly, it's starting to look like that. The man has spent so much time hanging from helicopters, suspended from planes, and defying gravity with stunts, it's almost his trademark now.

At this pace, if the next Mission: Impossible doesn't have some crazy plane stunt, the fans will begin to feel as though they've missed something critical. Perhaps next time, he'll bypass the planes and hang off a flying car or, better still, a UFO. Tom Cruise isn't only bending physics; he's making it appear like a hobby.

Before we get into the fans' response, let's just take a moment to appreciate the actual star of the show, Tom Cruise's incessant desire to make us question the laws of physics! It's no surprise the internet can't help but blow up with comments.

Whether it's the death-defying stunts or his seeming fixation on all things airborne, Tom's latest Mission: Impossible adventures have certainly got everyone talking.

First hinted at CinemaCon 2023, this crazy action sequence will leave viewers breathless. Be prepared for the most action-packed Mission: Impossible ever when it arrives in theaters soon!

Get ready because people are going to have some ridiculous opinions about Cruise's newest plane-hanging escapade, and you just know they're not going to sugarcoat anything. Buckle up, it's going to get crazy!

The probable plot of Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning

The story for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is tighter than a secret code, likely to keep us all in suspense. But based on what we've learned, the action continues from where Dead Reckoning left off, with Ethan Hunt holding the key to a room buried deep within a sunken Russian submarine.

And oh, did we say the leaders of the world want the rogue AI inside so they can weaponize it? Classic. As Ethan and his team continue trying to figure out where the submarine is, it looks like the last film will be about searching for it and turning off the AI forever.

And then, of course, there is the little issue of unresolved questions about Marie, Luther, and Jasper Briggs. Can Ethan and his crew prevent the Entity from gaining control of worldwide systems? And let's not forget, it's the culmination of a 30-year epic, so no pressure.

The cast of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is a starry one, full of spies, assassins, and an awful lot of mayhem. Tom Cruise reprises his role as Ethan Hunt, the IMF operative who somehow gets away with making every mission resemble a game of dodgeball with death on the line.

Hayley Atwell joins the fray as Grace, a former thief turned IMF employee, and why not?

Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg reprise their roles as Luther and Benji, Ethan's loyal sidekicks who've witnessed it all and most likely regret having done so. And Vanessa Kirby is playing the White Widow, an arms dealer who consistently finds herself on the wrong end of Ethan's well-meaning actions.

Esai Morales is Gabriel, a hit man with a dirty record that brings him back around to Ethan, while Paris, the former antagonist-turned-unlikely-friend, is played by Pom Klementieff. The cast doesn't rest there; Angela Bassett assumes the role of the President of the United States, showing that she's more than just a CIA director these days.

And with every agency from the CIA to the NSA jumping in on the action, it's evident this is one Mission that's ending on a bang, literally. Tramell Tillman, Stephen Oyoung also joined the cast!

Ultimately, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is coming together as crazy as Cruise hanging from the side of an airplane at 140 mph wind, completely insane but remarkably cool.

With a cast more densely populated than a 747 in stormy weather, there's bound to be a maelstrom of action, spine-tingling stunts, and so many plot turns you'll spin faster than Ethan Hunt on his current death-defying escapade. So strap up, people; this ride just gets wilder, and for once, unlike Tom Cruise, you may even get to keep your seatbelt on!
