Yung Bleu has decided to boost his career by following the footsteps of Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, and Young Ma. No, he is not upgrading his lyrics or muscial style, instead he has changed his stage name.
He decided to drop the 'Yung' from his name, maybe because he thought it was too young for his taste, or maybe he realized that's not how you spell 'young.'
Yung Bleu who already had an extra stage name, Bleu Vandross, is dropping a new mixtape with DJ Drama and will be going by the new stage name, 'Bleuski.' Maybe changing the name for the project made him think it would be so lit that it might melt listener's earpods.
Rebranding from Yung Bleu to Bleuski might be like a Pokemon evolving, but instead of enhanced powers, the rapper might get a difficult vocabulary and a deeper voice.
Fan reaction to Yung Bleu changing his name to Bleuski
Musical artists adopting stage names isn't an uncommon practice, but when they change their stage names all of a sudden, that sometimes makes it confusing for the fans. Remembering to call Kanye West, Ye was as hard as remembering to call Snoop Dogg, Snoop Lion.
And eventually, everyone gets a hang of it. At least, that's what Bleu Vandross, oh sorry, Bleuski, must be hoping for. But for now, fans are not feeling the new name and have expressed their thoughts with some rib-tickling comments on the internet. Here are a few that have been hand picked for your pleasure. Check them out below.
User @frxzenwave roasted the rapper with just one comment:
"This name won't trend too."
User @SwaggyMcNasty changed the entire vibe of the comment section with this comment:
"Bleuski? Isn't that a Russian mobster name or something?"
User @jplexxxxxxxxxx wasn't wrong when they wrote this comment:
"Just 'Bleu' would've been just fine"
User @iamT_TWYNE decided to have a little fun with name calling:
"Its Young bleuski homie."
User @drtoldya just assumed the reason for Bleu's name change:
"You fell off fell off."
User @SmokeLitty thinks Bleu is trying to avoid being detected:
"N**** tryna rebrand like we forgot he owe Boosie that bag"
This fan summed up everyone's sentiments via a funny GIF:
Another user asked a valid question:
"How many times is he gonna change his name?"
Who is Yung Bleu?
Jeremy Biddle aka Yung Bleu or Bleu Vandross is an American rapper-singer who has the power of turning the most boring grocery list sound like a love ballad. Born in 1994, in Mobile, Alabama, he started making music in 2013, and eventually got signed to Columbia Records via Boosie Badazz's label Bad Azz Music Syndicate.
His music went mainstream when his song You're Mines Still was remixed by Canadian rapper Drake and peaked at number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100. Since then he has worked with many artists including Kehlani, Big Sean, Chris Brown, 2 Chainz, and Kodak Black.
So, next time you hear a velvety voice crooning a sick love balled, know that it's Yung Bleu, Bleu Vandross, Bleuski, or just Jeremy. Whichever name comes to mind first, go with that.
