Rapper and singer Lizzo’s latest take on South Park’s obesity-themed special has drawn attention from people on social media.
The episode titled, “South Park: The End of Obesity” which dropped in May 2024 mocked the singer for using a weight-loss drug named Ozempic.
Embracing the joke, Lizzo shared a few pictures under the caption, “Mama… a Cartman behind you” on her Instagram in which she dressed herself as the drug named ‘Lizzo’. She wore a measuring tape clinched around her waist as a belt.
She posted an image referring to a fake ad with captions like, “Lose Guilt, Gain Confidence.” Below the image, a side effects note reads: “A smile on your face and a pep in your stomach.”
Fans were amazed by Lizzo’s take on the mockery made by the South Park team. They took to social media praising the singer for her positive approach.

Another clip on her Instagram shows the singer grooving with South Park character, Eric Cartman. She shared the video along with the caption which said, “It’s that time of year where I feed y’all so ridiculously and you’re so very welcome baby.”

Ever since the episode was out, Lizzo has been hitting the gym really hard. She is often seen sharing her weight-loss journey on social media.
What happens in the South Park episode?
In the episode released in May 2024, characters Sharon and Sheila are seen discussing the newly launched drugs which Sharon has been taking to shed those extra kilos. She reveals that a new obesity drug has been launched in the market for those who can’t afford Ozempic and Mounjaro.
The scene then plays a fake commercial presenting, a drug called “Lizzo” that “makes you feel good about your weight, and it costs 90% less than Ozempic.”
The commercial continues to narrate that 70% of patients on Lizzo don’t care much about their weight. It adds that the drug helps you eat whatever you want and keeps your physical activity to a minimum.
How did Lizzo react?
In her response to the South Park episode, she slammed the creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
“I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a f**k, to the point where these men in Colorado know who the f**k I am, and put it on their cartoon that’s been around for 25 years,” said said.
According to TMZ, the creators have not yet responded to Lizzo’s Halloween costume.
