Now that the TikTokpocalypse had happened, a series of unfortunate events followed. CapCut, TikTok's sister company, already followed suit by being unavailable to users in the US too.
CapCut users were surprised, because well, they NEVER thought that CapCut would also follow their good sis, TikTok.
Others were sympathetic to CapCut video editors, expressing how editors would find an accessible video editing app now that CapCut is also gone.
"Oh I’m so sorry for the editors how are we gonna get our edits now I hate America." - one user said
"CapCut shutting down feels like losing a tool everyone secretly used but never admitted to. Guess we’re back to Windows Movie Maker vibes now!" - another user exclaimed.
"The editors are gonna freak out." - user @pinkthereup added
Some blamed the government, because of their lack of fun, making the people think that the government is not *COOL.*
"Our government taking everything cool away from us." - an X user remarked
CapCut users were also sad because their years of CapCut edits were gone in just a Thanos snap.
While some users expressed how they would miss CapCut because it's only one of the few decent editing tools.
"I actually liked it as an editing tool. So definitely saddening." - one user replied
TikTok users also said that not only they were not allowed to watch videos but they couldn't also make them!
"So not only did they make it to where we can’t WATCH videos now we can’t even MAKE THEM." - one user remarked
Video editors are also curious, whether they should cancel their CapCut subscription:
"Sooo am i supposed to cancel my capcut pro subscription now." - an X user said
Some were *SHOOKT* because they thought that TikTok was the only one that would get banned, not the whole ByteDance package (CapCut included).
"I thought it was only Tiktok that will get banned I didn't know it's the whole of bytedance." - a shocked user quipped.
Other video editors pointed out that other video editing apps are now funnily taking the CapCut armageddon, making notifications fun and humorous!
Some CapCut users are also frustrated because they use the app for work.
"Okay this is where I draw the line … I use this for work. I’m a social media manager …" - a CapCut user said
Others did not take the CapCut armageddon lightly, some *were seriously* brokenhearted because what's the point of having no TikTok AND CapCut?
The end of an era
Now that TikTok and CapCut exited the US due to the Supreme Court ruling, other users are now looking for alternative apps that are just the same as TikTok and CapCut. RIP, TikTok, and CapCut thank you for your endless service and fun trends. It was great while it lasted.
