What do you get when you mix a 19-year-old YouTuber, a giant hand statue, and a wild sense of humor? You get IShowSpeed, aka Darren Jason Watkins Jr., serving up pure adrenaline and laughter as he continues his South America tour in 2025.

This time, he’s making headlines by pulling off a backflip from the "Hand of God" statue in Guatemala.

On January 14, 2025, right in the heart of Antigua, this dude looked his Livestream audience in the eye and casually dropped:

"Okay, this is very dangerous. I am about to do a backflip off The Hand of God. If I fall, it’s over with."

No kidding, Speed. The statue, a tourist hotspot known for its jaw-dropping mountain views, isn’t exactly a trampoline park.

One viewer threw in a classic, “There is a net under the statue 💀.”

Sure, a net might be there, but the heart palpitations were real.

Another chimed in, “Where’s the ‘don’t try this at home’? You know literal children watch him, right?”

Well, unless you’ve got a mountain and a hand-shaped statue in your backyard, chill.

Meanwhile, some fans weren't holding back on the stakes:

“One wrong slip and he's cooked. Going 50/50 with your life is crazy.”
“Was that worth almost dying for?” a viewer humorously pondered.
While another aptly put it, “Bro nearly met God 💀.”
A user declared: “Never in my wildest nightmares would I even attempt this.”
"chill that hand is like 6 foot above the ground", a comment read.

Highlights from IShowSpeed's South America tour

You thought the backflip was the only headline-grabber? Well, no. Speed had his fans rolling when he hilariously pretended to be Marcus Rashford, the Manchester United star, during a chance meeting with Egyptian fans.

He went all in, talking about a supposed match with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and even offering tickets to United games.

While playing baseball with locals and hanging out with fellow YouTuber YourFellowArab, Speed got a surprise. Some overly enthusiastic Colombians showered him with cornstarch, mistaking it for something a little more… illicit.

In Colombia, IShowSpeed linked up with local streamer Westcol to sample the local cuisine. What started as a foodie adventure quickly turned into a viral moment when Speed, true to form, managed to choke on a fish bone.

Westcol had to jump in, performing an impromptu rescue to keep Speed breathing.

What’s next for Speed?

IShowSpeed isn’t slowing down. His 2025 tour is just revving up, with plans to hit Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. This global escapade is perfectly timed to build hype for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where Speed is set to connect with fans and keep the excitement rolling.

From winning Streamer of the Year in 2024 to making headlines with every move, IShowSpeed is proving he’s an entertainment powerhouse.
