What's happening between OpenAI and DeepSeek?

The AI beef is ON and the people are intrigued. But what happened?

OpenAI accused DeepSeek of copying them, saying that the "distillation" of DeepSeek came from OpenAI and that the data that DeepSeek has came from OpenAI. In this regard, DeepSeek "breached" OpenAI's terms of service!
