It's no secret that Naruto is one of the most popular and beloved Japanese anime series in the world, with a massive global fanbase. And one of the many fans just so happens to be New Orleans Pelicans' NBA player Zion Williamson, who just made his love for the anime more public.
The 24-year-old Pelicans power forward recently got a tattoo of the Nine-Tails seal on his stomach, just like the one Naruto had in the anime. A photo of the tattoo shared on social media has since gone viral, with fans both appreciating and poking fun at it.
Hilarious Fan Reactions
Several fans were seen poking fun at Zion Williamson's Naruto tattoo. Let's take a look at some of their most hilarious reactions.
"Thats so tuff," a fan said.
Well, there are many things that could be tough about the tattoo, as this fan points out - sitting through all that pain, tough to look at for anyone who doesn't like it, and of course, tough to live the ninja way of life now that Williamson has made it official.
"Summoning a 6 pack," joked another.
In the anime, Naruto and his ninja friends can summon objects and creatures out of thin air. If Zion Williamson wants to be like them, he must make a choice - summon six-pack abs on his abdomen or a six-pack of beers. It's the ultimate ninja test!

Looks like this user has hilariously had enough, as every time he reads or sees anything about Williamson, it’s always something unusual and weird. The athlete really seems to be a man of surprises!
"Why do athletes who have so much money appear to go to the worst tattoo artists 😂," a user wondered.
A question that many people such as this user have indeed asked: why do athletes mostly end up getting the worst tattoos? You’d expect them to be able to hire even Michelangelo as a tattoo artist, given how much money they have.
"Homie Nine-Tails chakra ain’t going to fix your game," another pointed.
Let's hope Zion Williamson didn't get the Naruto tattoo thinking he would suddenly be able to move like a ninja on the basketball court, as this fan points out. Because, well...that sure would be awkward!

Wait a minute. Could Williamson's tattoo actually be a cinnamon roll and not the nine-tails seal?
With the new Naruto tattoo on his stomach, Zion Williamson definitely seems to have amused his fans. However, he will now have to be a true ninja and overpower every other player on the basketball court!
