After buzz on the street was that Rockstar would price GTA 6 an astronomical $100, Swiss retailer Brack upped this and listed it as 99 Swiss Francs, equivalent to $112 on your typical day.
This began after Michael Pachter from Wedbush Securities set word floating around with spec that the game's price was being boosted to $100, prompting back-and-forths about if the game were in line to cost much, much more.
However, according to a report in GAMINGbible, retailers don't know the actual price of the game and are speculating on what it could sell for when released. Retailers will only know the price when the information is made public.
Nonetheless, the internet is flat-out certain that GTA 6 will be as pricey as a real plane ticket. Resorting to jokes, some players believe that they should literally be in the game, soaring above Vice City on a real plane.
Some are already referring to it as the most pirated game ever, and others are joking that this is a horrible precedent for game pricing in the future.
A user (@yipfella) hilariously stated:
"$112 for GTA 6? Rockstar better be dropping me off in Vice City with a real passport and a condo."
For this much, they should send a chauffeur to pick us up.
One user (@SnyderQueen_) speculated:
"GTA 6 bout the be the most pirated game in history."
Torrent sites are about to experience server overload on launch day.
A user (@Steweroid) stated:
"If GTA 6 is really going to cost $112, then Rockstar better be delivering a game that lasts a lifetime—because my wallet sure won’t recover anytime soon."
A user (@dko9999) went on to say:
"You have all been saying you'll pay $100 for it for like a year now. It's the people walking up to Rockstar and telling them $70 isn't good enough $100 is what I wanna pay."
Congratulations, y'all played yourselves successfully.
A user (@debayo_xx) humorously mentioned:
"A $112 price tag for GTA 6? I’m ready to pay it, but only if the game includes a mission where I can rob the Swiss retailer for a refund."
A user (@MosbyGaming) declared:
"For a $100 i better be able to get on a plane and fly to another city."
A user (@Soulbound_TV) quipped:
"Rockstar charging us like we’re in the game. 😭"
Rockstar is making GTA IRL, and we’re the NPCs getting robbed.
Swiss retailer drops a wild GTA 6 price

Brack's 99 Swiss Francs ($112) GTA 6 price figure has the internet buzzing. Some think it's a tease for Rockstar's real pricing, while others are convinced it's a placeholder—or worse, a publicity stunt to generate hype.
Even Brack itself isn't making the promise of the number, stating that this might not be the final price and that customers will simply have to get used to any future adjustments.
The $112 price tag for GTA 6 has the gaming world divided. Some think it's just retailers testing the waters, feeling the temperature before Rockstar makes any statement.
But then there are the other folks—the ones who welcome the price hike as the cost of next-gen gaming.
Watcher Guru predicts that it'll make $6 billion in its first year, with pre-orders alone likely to reach more than $1 billion. The hype is so strong that Take-Two Interactive's stock is already climbing.
GTA 6 will hit the shelves in the fall of 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
