After the massive success of the Spider-Man: Homecoming trilogy - especially the third installment, which earned nearly $2 billion worldwide and sparked nostalgia for fans who grew up watching the original 2002 film, it looks like Marvel is ready for Spider-Man 4, with Tom Holland set to reprise his role. And fans have been asking one thing: who will the web-slinger face this time? Well, we may have just gotten the answer to that.

Recent reports suggest that Marvel Studios is casting a 30-50-year-old actress to play the villain in Spider-Man 4. The news has left fans excited, speculating about who the villain might be this time.

Hilarious Fan Reactions

The news came as quite a surprise for fans, prompting many to take to the internet and share their hilarious takes on who the villain might be and what her powers could be.

"Evil Aunt May," a fan joked.

Wait a minute, did we just hear that Marvel Studios is casting a 30-50-year-old actress to play the villain in Spider-Man 4? Does that mean we’re about to see the first-ever Evil Aunt May? This might just be Peter Parker’s toughest challenge yet!

"Dr Octopus yeah im done," wrote another.

Looks like this fan may have just cracked who the villain in Spider-Man 4 might be - Doctor Octopus! But this time, a female version of the character. Although...didn’t Doc Ock already appear in the last Spider-Man movie?

Now why wait to cast a 30-50-year-old female villain when you could just throw a wig on Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and have him play her? Or at least, that’s what this fan believes.

"30-50 is a big age difference lmaoo," a fan pointed.

Quite an interesting observation from this fan - Marvel is casting within a 20-year age range of 30 to 50 for the villain, which is a big age range. Fun fact: Tom Holland was 20 when he filmed the first Spider-Man movie.

"They really don't wanna give us scorpion," said another.

Many fans seem disappointed that Marvel isn’t casting Scorpion, a villain they’ve been begging for years to see. But let’s not lose hope, because who knows, we might just see him in Spider-Man 5.

Marvel seems to be pulling no punches with Spider-Man 4 by introducing a villain never seen before. After all, following the massive success of the last Spider-Man movie, they have a huge responsibility to deliver. And as Uncle Ben would say - “With great power comes great responsibility.”
