On February 14, 2025, Twitch streamer Kai Cenat had an out-of-body experience, courtesy of Drake’s new song Moth Balls. The track, part of Drake’s joint album with PARTYNEXTDOOR titled $OME $EXY $ONGS 4 U, had Cenat convinced that the Canadian rapper was lurking somewhere in his room—possibly under his desk, maybe inside his PC, who’s to say?
Reacting to Cenat's reaction, an X user noted:
"Songs be hitting way too personally sometimes 😭"
Another user joked:
"Drake watching him be like:"
Another user mentioned:
"nah that’s a hilarious coincidence 😭"
A user thinks:
"Yea KAI stretching this s**t😭"
A user humorously asked:
"So was drake really there?"
A user jokingly cautioned:
"Drake is watching him 🆘"
A comment read:
"Yooo, that was weird. Too accurate"
A user shared a funny GIF in response:
Kai Cenat reacts to Moth Balls by Drake
The viral video starts with the song’s second verse, which reads:
“I been peakin' off that Addy every day
It's been hard for me to put that shit away
Drinkin' four or five bottles of the wine
Got a glass in my hand every time”
What made it humorous was that Cenat was holding a glass of wine as the line dropped. He interrupted the song to glance around the room, indicating that the rapper was watching him, in his typical exaggerated reaction.
But who's to say that the wine glass was a coincidence and that Cenat heard the song for the first time? He may have orchestrated it, or Drake might have been watching him. We are unable to independently verify the report at this time.
Kai Cenat and Drake
Kai Cenat went from pulling pranks and wilding out on Twitch to getting FaceTime calls from Drake.
On October 6, Cenat was deep into his stream, enjoying Drake’s freshly dropped album, For All The Dogs.
As he was just chilling, his phone went off. And who’s on the other end? The Champagne Papi himself, calling to check out the live reaction to his latest work of art.
But then, things escalate. Because in the middle of all this, Cenat catches something in First Person Shooter that makes him pause.
Drake raps:
“My youngers richer than you rappers, and they all stream.”
That sounded suspiciously like a nod to the Cenat himself. Cenat lost his mind on stream, giving us an over-the-top reaction.
Drake confirms the reference was intentional. Of course, it was. He’s been calculating every move since Degrassi.
It’s basically an acknowledgment that rappers aren’t the only ones making bank anymore. Streamers like Cenat are stacking millions while simultaneously getting roasted in Twitch chat.
And because what is a Drake moment without a little lyrical combat—let’s rewind to April.
A leaked diss track called Push Ups (Drop and Give Me Fifty), in which Drake fires shots at Kendrick Lamar and other industry folks, also drops Cenat’s name in the mix.
He spits:
“Beggin Kai Cenat, boy, you not f**kin’ beatin’ us.”
What a time to be alive.
Cenat claps right back, saying labels, not artists, are the ones begging him to come on his stream. And he’s got the numbers to back it up.
With an estimated monthly income of $1.5 million and a net worth of $12 million.
Even his Twitch revenue alone is clocking in at $3 million per year.
Fans started speculating that a line from Push Ups was a subtle jab at Kanye West. Something about a past incident where Ye hit Cenat with the ominous “Don’t play with me” during a disagreement over YZY sweatpants.
Cenat’s reaction to all this was unfiltered chaos—the kind that keeps his audience locked in for hours.
