Shinji Higuchi's new film is about to be released on Netflix, based on a thrilling narrative about a bomb implant on a public transport which is triggered by the reduction of the train's speed beyond a certain level.. No, Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock's film Speed is not re-releasing on Netflix. It's a Japanese film called Bullet Train Explosion.

Yes, you read that right, Japan might be doing what the U.S did already but on a much bigger scale. A new trailer was recently released for the Japanese film Bullet Train Explosion, and the plot is eerily similar to the 1994 classic action thriller Speed.

In the movie Speed, an extortionist plants a bomb on a city bus to explode if the speed of the bus drops below 50 miles per hour. Japan decided to use the same plot but upped the thriller meter. Instead of the city bus, the main character of the film Bullet Train Explosion will be, well, a bullet train.

Fan reaction to the trailer of the Bullet Train Explosion

As soon as the trailer for Bullet Train Explosion was released, everyone had the same thought. No one could resist trolling the trailer for its similarities with the 1994 action thriller. This also tells how many people have watched Speed.

One X user, @TheOneConqueror, pointed out something interesting with this comment,

"So...Speed but with a train?"

Because of the film's name, many people got excited that it was the sequel to the 2022 Brad Pitt film Bullet Train. But they were left disappointed after watching the trailer.

A disappointed user, @ZachBowders, expressed his frustration with this comment,

"Seeing the title and expecting a sequel to Bullet Train... That was a massive letdown"

The trolling continued for many more comments, each funnier than the last. It was like all the world's creative people had found this post and were digging in hard with their comments. Each one of them had the same thing to say but in different fonts.

Another sarcastic comment was followed by @palooza_lalla

"Damn, this reminds me of a movie from long ago; I wonder which one of the many that did the same thing"

This comment by @drmanhappenin was one of the wittiest comments on the post,

"So Speed:Tokyo Drift"

One more funny comment was added by @robsam1023

"Speed knock off I will call it Peed"

User @Radioman1017 also added this funny comment,

"How do you say "Speed" in Japanese?"

Japan may be making a movie on an American concept, but one thing is worth anticipation by the audience: their execution of the action sequences. Taking a similar concept from somewhere is easy, but doing justice in execution is the real task. Japan will likely do wonders with that too.
