After directing legendary films like the original Spider-Man trilogy, The Evil Dead franchise, and most recently, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it looks like director Sam Raimi is gearing up for his next project - a new horror movie titled Send Help.

Recent reports have suggested that Send Help has already begun filming. Starring Dylan O'Brien and Rachel McAdams, the film will be a survival horror thriller about two colleagues who become stranded on a deserted island as the sole survivors of a plane crash. Described as a horror version of Cast Away mixed with Misery, the project has generated both excitement and amusement among fans.

Fans poke fun at the new film

Many fans have been seen poking fun at the concept and the announcement. Let’s take a look at some of their funniest reactions.

Just like Shutter Island (via @phan_xyz / X)

Looks like the movie's concept is giving this user some serious Shutter Island vibes. But wait a minute, weren’t there more people on that island? And there wasn’t any plane crash either, right? Perhaps the mere fact that it’s set on a deserted island is enough for the comparison.

This user seems convinced that the movie will be one of Sam Raimi’s best films and hilariously urges everyone to bookmark his prediction. So when the movie releases, he'll either have a glorious "I told you so" moment, or quietly delete the post seconds after the reviews drop.

Island of Horrors (via @IanDavidNoakes / X)

What’s the worst kind of island? One you’re not escaping from anytime soon! Looks like this won’t be the tropical paradise the characters were hoping for!

Hell for help (via @AuloxNFT / X)

Well, it’s safe to say that no help such as a boat or a ship will be arriving anytime soon to rescue the stranded characters. Instead, all they’re in for is a boatload of hell!

Terrifying Wilson (via @PixelSavages / X)

Remember Wilson, the volleyball from Cast Away that Tom Hanks’ character treated like an imaginary friend? Well, if Cast Away is meeting Misery in this film, let’s just say Wilson might not be the kind of friend you’d want to make!

Wrong O'Brien (via @a_secret_one / X)

It looks like this user completely misunderstood which O’Brien is starring in Send Help. But if it were Conan O’Brien in the lead, the genre would instantly shift from horror to comedy!

Sam Raimi’s Send Help seems to have generated quite the buzz among moviegoers, and fans are eager to see what the director has up his sleeve for his next venture.
