The cult comedy show Saturday Night Live (SNL) is in its jubilee season. The show that blessed us with many years of hysterical comedic skits, memorable personalities, and the unparalleled phrase, “Live from New York!” is turning fifty soon. Save the date – February 16, 2025. NBC really wants to go big with a special live Primetime event that will run from 8 PM to 11:00 PM ET.
It will reportedly be the biggest reunion ever of SNL legends, current cast members, and surprise celeb guests. While NBC is keeping the host lineup hush-hush, word on the street is that multiple stars might tag-team the hosting duties.
Oh, and the cherry on top? Some of the biggest names in the music industry are to perform live, including Miley Cyrus, Paul Simon, Mick Jagger, and many others.
They’re also mining the vaults for you, delivering special interviews and hidden treasures that have not been seen before. But true to SNL form, it’ll be more outrageous, crazier, and 10 times as funny as any regular look back at the year.
Let’s take a scroll through 12 iconic SNL moments that remain peak comedy:
