Selena Gomez almost ruined her own engagement, here's how:
During the segment, Benny Blanco was dishing out details about how and when he planned to propose, and how he had all the details sorted out down to a T. However, Selena Gomez almost ruined all of these plans because she was tired after a long day of work and had no idea that a proposal was imminent.
“We had to do a lot of promo for the album, so I woke up and I was very confused on what was happening, where we were going, because it seemed kind of far,” Selena Gomez said. “I’m kind of a little grumpy. I really am tired. This is too far. So then I tell him, ‘after this shoot I’m going to go hang out with my friends.'”
Blanco then revealed that her comments plunged him into panic mode because according to him, getting engaged is the “craziest thing” in the world.
“It’s like, right before you’re gonna tell someone you’re gonna be married to them forever, they’re like, ‘show me how good you can lie to me!'” Blanco joked. “It’s the hardest thing in the world!”
Blanco also revealed that the whole ordeal was the “scariest week of my life.” Fallon then jokingly suggested that seeing as the two are both in the music industry, with Blanco being a producer and Gomez being a singer, the music at their wedding would be "amazing." Gomez revealed that the music segment of the wedding night will be in her beau's hands.
As for their album, Selena Gomez described it as
“An exploration of each other’s present, past and future. The music was very fun, but cathartic, because we got to know each other on a deeper level.”
